A keen sportsman, Ben has represented his country in two different sports. Growing up as a football fan, Ben played amputee football for Peterborough Amputee Football Team and helped them win their first league title in 2016, as well as making his debut for the England Reserve team against France. From then, Ben switched his focus to wheelchair basketball, where he has played for Great Britain at a junior and senior level, winning a Junior World Championship, a Senior European Championship and a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games. Currently Ben is playing his professional wheelchair basketball out in Spain for Amiab Albacete and helped his team win their first ever ‘Copa Del Rey’ in 2021.

Ben is passionate about inclusivity and equal opportunities for people with disabilities. He hopes to use acting as a tool to change people’s perceptions of disability within society, striving for the day that all disabilities are represented across all walks of life. Excited by the new challenge of being in front of the camera, Ben is determined to use all the skills learnt from being an elite athlete and transfer them over to his new adventure.

During the earlier years of his sporting career, Ben was chosen to be part of the Coca-Cola Future Flame campaign in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. This involved being part of a billboard advert, giving him valuable experience in photoshoots and giving him the chance to represent his disability on a national level. Since then, Ben has been part of multiple news articles, both local and nationally and has even appeared on radio station, Marca Albacete, where he was interviewed in Spanish to talk about his basketball career.
