Erika trained at East 15 Acting School where she studied Acting and Community Theatre. After graduating in 2016 Erika co-founded FEEL Theatre with friends from drama school, a theatre company specialising in creating work with and for young people with SEN (special educational needs) and PMLD (profound and multiple learning disabilities). They have successfully produced two shows, Sensory Circus and Magical Moggie, and delivered numerous sensory play workshops for young people and children of all abilities. Magical Moggie was due to tour England this summer but due to the coronavirus they are now planning an online version.
For the majority of her school life Erika attended York Steiner School where, at the age of 14, she found her passion for acting in a school production of A Winter's Tale.
In summer 2012 Erika was in York Mystery Plays in the role of Apostle James, a disciple of Jesus (played by Ferdinand Kingsley, son of Ben Kingsley), which was performed to over 30,000 audience members on a purpose-built outdoor stage in front of the historic ruins of St Mary’s Abbey.
